Welcome to Arcachon - The bay of Arcachon
A magical city with its bay: Arcachon is an inspiration for a lot of artist like Leo Brouyn, Manet, Jaques Lipchitz, Jean Hugo, Georges Auric and Jean Cocteau. Arcachon is located in the south of France at 50km of Bordeaux. It a relax city where there are plenty things to do and to see. The sun is always there. You will never be bored with with city.
The most famous to see is “La pointe de l’Aiguillon”, the Arcachon Port and “L’église Saint-Ferdinand”. In the centre of the city it possible to visit the Deganne castle where it is possible the casino of the city, “La chapelle des Marins” or “La basilique NotreDame” and “La croix des marins”. Around the city it is possible to visit “Le belvédère” and “la Passerelle SaintPaul”. There is also “Le Parc Mauresque” witch is free. The SainteAnne des Abatilles is a pure water (there is no nitrate) which was discover in 1923. There is one thing that you do not have to forget to visit is “Le Moulleau” because it contains one of the most famous sculpture of the Virgin.
If you want to have fun Arcachon has three casino with a friendly atmosphere. There is also some bar and discotheque.
There is no big shopping centre but little shop witch spread the local “savoirfaire”.

Arcachon is located in the South of France witch means that the temperature is hot especially in summer.
It is possible to go to Arcachon by train or by plane. Inside the city it is possible to discover this city by bus or by cab. If you want to go to Arcachon bay you have to rent a boat.
