Echevannes is a commune in the Doubs department in the Franche-Comte region in easter France, at an altitude of over 600 m. As you can see, the countryside is a combination of green fields and rolling hills, it is an ideal place for recharging one's batteries.
Echevannes was build after the abandonment and ruin of Chatelneuf-de-Vuillafans at the end of the 16th century. In fact, all townspeople decided to rebuild their hometowns on this site, the village has recovered his population, and the oven and the chapel has been transferred.
Its small parish chapel, which dates from the 15th century is a wonderful excuse to take a breathe of fresh air in the highest part of the village.

Every year, take place for the French hill climb, the uphill from Vuillafans-Echevannes.
