Oppede- the hill-top village
Oppede or Oppede le Vieux is a magnificent little hill-top village. It was built on a rocky and outcrop and it is surrounded by lush vegetation and thick forests. To visit the village, you have to leave your car in the car park at the base of the village, and then you can follow the path up the hill.
The historic village has much to offer. First, there is a 12th century collegiate church which dominates the skyline. There are also the ruins of an ancient château, and the remains of historic workshops and boutiques. You will have pleasure wandering around the village and admiring the beautiful 15th and 16th century houses that have been skilfully restored. When you finish the tour of the little village, you can have a rest in the peaceful square and soak up the atmosphere.
If you want to do shopping or have fun at night, Oppede is not the right place to go. But if you want to have a peaceful day or if you like hiking, you found the place to be.

There are no public transportation in Oppede, the only way we can access the village is by foot.
