What to do during the day ?
1-Visit the Museum “Beaux-Arts”: in order to discover paintings from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, including paintings by Rubens, Rembrandt, Delacroix or Degas.
2- Come to see the “old Tours” : where you will find several shops, restaurants and bars. A good plan for enjoying the sun and having a break.
3-Visit castles: Tours is well-known for the presence of several castles such as “Chenonceau”, “Villandry”, “Azay-le-rideau” or also the castle of “Blois”.
4- Do shopping: The best places to do shopping are on the national road or in Bordeaux street. If you want to discover more traditional shops you have to go at the Scellerie street or in the “quartier des Halles”.
5- Visit the “ Jean Jaures” place : where you can discover the beautiful town hall
6- Come to the “plumereau” place: with its famous timbered houses
7- Go to the “quai de la Loire” : which is a registered place at the UNESCO heritage and where you can take the boat in order to do a pretty visit.

In Tours, one company called “filbleu” is in charge of buses, tramway and bicycle.
You can travel all around the city for only 2€ by taking the tramway or buses.
Children under five years old don’t need to buy a ticket (free).
You can also rent a bicycle for 7€ and enjoy your ride around the city!
