Welcome to Trouville-sur-mer
Welcome to Trouville-sur-mer - A city famous for its boardwalk, its Casino and its Floral Cost.
Trouville-sur-mer is located at 200 kilometres from Paris, known especially for the summer season. Every year, from June to September, thousands of people come within this beautiful seaside town.
The sun rises, the beginning of the summer season starts and shops open.
In 1868 the “Promenade des Planches” was created. It was at this moment that Trouville became a luxury seaside town with the building of different districts along the sea such as “Le Quartier des Villas” and the “Quartier des Bains”.
From 1952 to 1970, Trouville was famous for being “the queen of the beaches”.
Despite the urban changes, Trouville remains a familial discreet township contrary to Deauville which is more famous and fancy. That is why a lot of artists and writers came, such as Charles Mozin, Claude Monet, Gustave Flaubert, Marcel Proust...
Trouville welcome a lot of events every year such as “Trouville sur livre” for literature enthusiasts, the “Fête de la mer et du maquereau” for fish lovers of all ages, the concert “sur un air de Trouville” to celebrate the summer dancing and singing with Rock and Jazz, and finally the “Festival off-courts” for short movies amateurs.
