New Delhi, Capital city of India, was founded by the Grand son of Queen Victoria, emperor of India in 1911. He is the one who laid the foundation stone in New Delhi. Today, New Delhi holds the most important sector about the ecomomy, with a population of 22 million people, it is also the third largest city in India. Since the end of the II World War, New Delhi was the capital city of the country which experiences a huge economic growth after obtaining the independence. With a GDP of 157817 biliion rupees (or 1924.16 billion euros). Connaught Place, was a former location of the British when they colonized India and it was also the headquarters of the country since then. Nowadays it is the largest financial, commercial and business center in New Delhi. Connaught place remains the headquarter of several noted firms. Today thanks to this city India is the third world power, in other words this city is recognized as having the ability to exert its influence on a global scale.
As being the capital city of India, New Delhi is the city whose events are the most important, there are many religious feast, the festival of the independance and the Birthday of Gandhi... During all these events, misicians, singers and dancers are on the plateform all night.

Khan Market rated as the 21st most expensive retail in the world. Khan Market was establish in 1951 in New Delhi by two brothers Khan Abdul and Khan Jabbar. Khan market is named in honor of these two brothers.This market has 154 shpos with 74 flats. The first floor belongs to the shopkeepers.
In New Delhi, summer starts from early April and peaks in May in this season, the temperature reaches 45C or higher. Spring starts from February and ends in March during this season, the days are warm, and there is brillant sunshine, and the nights are cool. During early October or mid October, Autumn starts and ends in December, days are still warm during this season with plesant night. The temperature goes from 20C to 30C degree. In late November or early December Winter starts, the minimum temperature is 0C degree, in that season the temperature never goes above 20C degree.
The Lotus Temple is one of the prominent attractions in New Delhi, it is called the Lotus Temple because of the form of the architecture which looks like a lotus flower. The remarkable thing about this place is the regardless of religion. In other words it is a temple without religous discrimination, any body can go to that temple to worship God according to his belief. Completed in 1986 the Lotus Temple attracts more then 50 million visitors coming from both india's people and people from all over the world, making it one of the most visited monument.
The Red Fort, a former residence of the Mughal emperors of India was built in 1648. Its named the Red Fort for having sandstone walls. This monument was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1638. Ustad Ahmad was the architect who designed the Red Fort .
