Cortina d’Ampezzo- The Queen of the Dolomites

Located in Veneto (a Northern Italian region), Cortina d’Ampezzo, better known as Cortina, is famous all over the world because of its breath-taking landscapes. It is surrounded by Dolomites tops, which are part of Unesco World Heritage, and it offers amazing ski slopes on winter and exciting hiking tracks on summer.
Hotel, Restaurants, Clubs, and Shops are mostly situated in the city centre and their services are also greatly appreciated by VIPs and the Jet-Set in general.


Sightseeing

Tre cime di Lavaredo, Monte Cristallo, Le Tofane, Croda da Lago are only some of the mountains you may visit around Cortina.
By moving to the city centre, “Mario Rimoldi” Modern Art Museum is situated on Corso Italia and its collection has been defined by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities one of the most significant of the 20th century Italian Modern art. On Via Marangoi, 1 there is another important museum, a Paleontological one called “Rinaldo Zardini”. Here you can admire one of the largest collections of fossils in existence today. On Via del Mercato, 12 you have also the opportunity to visit Santi Filippo e Giacomo Cathedral built on XVIII century.

On Corso Italia, 207 you can have great fun at the “VIP Club”, a very exclusive disco\piano bar where you could meet famous people!! On Galleria Nuovo Centro, 7 is situated the “Bilbo” night club, a place to enjoy the party all night long.
On Localita’ Pocol, 38 “Discoteca Belvedere”, a night club founded on the first ‘70’s, allows you to dance all the night long an to have fun!


Sport and Activities

On winter:
Starting from Cortina you can join all the wonderful ski slopes which are part of the “Dolomiti Superski” Skipass. Restaurants spreaded through all the ski-area are glad to offer you tasty meals while you rest enjoying the landscape.
By moving to the city centre you could spend enjoyable time at the Olympic Ice Stadium watching a home team match.
On summer:
Lovers of hiking and biking crowd Cortina throughout the summer season when the snow is finally melted down.
On Via Stazione, 18 is situated a Downhill and Bike Park, go there to watch at some rider’s trick!

On Corso Italia, 40 there is La Cooperativa di Cortina, a wide shopping centre. The main fashion brands all have shops in Cortina and their lovely and creative shop windows adorn the whole city center in an bright way!
