The city is located on Warta river in Greater Poland region in west-central Poland. It was first capital of Poland (with Gniezno). In Poznan live more than half million people. First information originate from 10th century. Poznan is one of the largest and the oldest city in Poland. In Poznan has many monuments which were created in the Middle Ages and Modern Era. Each visitors should visit place such as Ostrów Tumski, Zagórze, Chwaliszewo and Old Town with its medieval villages as well as Park Cytadela. Nowadays Poznan is the largest centre of trade, sport, technology, education in Poland. In Poznan live more than 130 000 students and it has the third biggest Polish university. Moreover, the city is the residence of the oldest Polish diocese.
