Welcome to Hoi An, the town of ancient remains
Hoi An is located in the Centre of Vietnam, more this town has a Chinese ambience and it's a trading port in there in the South-East Asia. Nowadays, Hoi An is an important ancient town which keep ancients relics of the Vietnam history therefore the town is listed as Unesco heritage. You can see 800 edifices with large bourgeois house and Chinese restaurant which are modernize while maintaining the ancient spirit. The interesting architecture in this town is made by woods materials which combine Vietnamese and Chinese styles but sometimes there are others Asian styles (Japan, Korean...).

Even if Hoi An is an ancient town, the night-life is dynamic especially when there are tourists, expatriates comes to Hoi An. Nevertheless, the town is known to light off early but this is a part of the attractive night life in Hoi An, because you can walk in the small street and try the beer at all the corner of the street. Furthermore, tourists and expatriates are in Hoi An to spend night in some clubs, bars. or restaurants.
There are two main places to do shopping in this town: the Riverside market and the Plethora which is the cheapest market. You can definitively find shops that sales clothes, shoes, bags with an ancient charms of the city or the typical Vietnamese items in Hoi An. Moreover, there are lots of shops in the Centre of the town, that is hand make such as lantern, woodworking, artwork... The place visitors need to try is the "New Market". In Vietnam, you should to bargain all the time when you buy some items.

The climate in the town is dry and hot weather but it's changing depending on the period. Especially, the mid-January to August is hot, the temperature is almost 30 C but the winter period, October to December are rainfall. So it's better to travel between January to August.
Tourists can use most of the time to walk, bicycles or you can use cars or taxi to circulate in Hoi An. It's more interesting to walk because you can visit at the same time.
