Charleroi is a French-speaking city in Belgium , located in the Walloon Region, on the Sambre. It is the largest city in Wallonia , and the third largest city of Belgium.
This town is an important intersection of motorway, rail and river, it is the door to the Ardenne, and enjoys a privileged location with fifty kilometers south of Brussels , capital of Europe and a hundred kilometers east of Lille.
Charleroi is an industrial center : steel , glass , chemicals, electrical engineering , mechanical engineering.
