Located in the department of Cantal in France, Aurillac is surrounded by a wide green nature that soothes and calls for long walks. More than six hundred meters, the city is between the plains and mountains. Along Jordanne therethrough, very old houses are still present, the city has many facets, it is good to discover during a walking day in flowery streets.

In the evening, many restaurants are open for you to discover the regional specialties. You can extend the evening in one of the bars in the city or in one of those clubs like Laundry Boat, the Lutetia or Relaxation who program general music. The city center is lively during the weekend.
Shopping
Aurillac is a city where many artisans established their shops. Some famous shops are also domiciled in the city center, such as Carroll, Camaïeu or Yves Rocher. Some small independent stores are in this city but are not generally in the industrial area or in the city center, but in some streets and their working time belongs only to them. In general, Aurillac therefore has a significant number of stores located in the industrial area Lescudiliers.
Sightseeing
The city has a beautiful cultural heritage of old monuments such as the Castle of Saint-Etienne, which date from the late twelfth century and the Church Saint-Geraud turn around which the city was built. On its hill the castle dominates the town and offers a unique perspective on all of Aurillac, it also houses the museum of volcanoes. You will find exciting places where it will be good to stop there : such as the Museum of Art and Archaeology, located in a former convent of the Visitation, includes a large archaeological collection to discover the form of photographs, paintings and sculptures.

Public transportation
To get to the city by plane, choose the Aurillac-Tronquières airport. By train you reach the Aurillac train station offering daily connections with Paris and Clermont-Ferrand. If you come by car from Paris you will take the A71 and A75 motorways. In Aurillac you can explore the city and the surrounding area by bike or even horse lovers, you can aslo take the bus or a bike with 50 bicycles available.
